In this workshop, Yesenia will share strategies and methodologies for creating flexible design systems. You’ll learn how to use user scenarios to help identify design patterns, how to balance big picture goals while designing small components, how to document patterns, and how to scale a design system.
In this workshop, we’ll look at examples of content, interactions, and entire products that leave users out or let them down—from “smart scales” that assume everyone wants to lose weight to form fields that fail for queer people to image-recognition software built off datasets that don’t include people of color. Then, we’ll break down why and how these things go wrong, and start looking at the risks within our own products.
Design and content sprints are the key to bringing together product owners, designers, researchers, content strategists, and other disciplines into one tight knit team. They’re a roundup of content strategy, behavior science, UX, and more in a process anyone can use.
